Great selection, terrible service

I have been buying from Luckyscent for years and never had the type of problems I've experienced this year. Every company likes to blame the Pandemic for their faults but it's a worn out lame excuse for a company as prestigious as Luckyscent. 3 weeks it took for me to get my order which is just unacceptable because the bottle I ordered was backordered and that was never stated on the website at all. I had to email them and ask them what was going on with my order and magically it's backordered after the fact. I order fragrances from FRANCE and they arrive within 1 weeks time so there's absolutely no excuse. Another issue is their prices offer no deals for customers buying large quantities and you will pay full retail for everything. They are generous with samples when you buy full bottles but offer lousy .7ml dabbers that leak. They need to upgrade to 1ml spray samples at least and charge the cost of the fragrance per ML so a $300 fragrance the sample should be $3 Why they hell are you jacking up prices on samples are you that desperate? I would hate to see this company go down the toilet but that's exactly where they are heading.

They could be better

Luckyscent gets away with a lot because they were, for a long time, the holy grail boutique for niche fragrances for many, many years. Those days are long gone now. I wish they would update a few things about their business model because I can't see them sustaining themselves in the future.
For one, their samples are outrageously tiny for the prices that they charge. 0.5 ml or even less of a perfume for $4-7 is really stretching it. There are professional decanters online giving out 2ml or more of the same scents at the same rate. I know rent is high in Los Angeles, but this is ridiculous. $2-4 would be more reasonable. Also, unlike a lot of the perfume companies that they support, they don't offer vouchers for buying testers or samples. If MFK can give you a voucher you can apply towards a full bottle, I am sure Luckyscent can, too.
Shipping. Oh my god, SHIPPING. I live in Southern California, in the LA/OC metro area. I usually get packages within 1-2 days depending on the courier if the shipper is in the same region. Why does it take nearly a week to get my stuff? Also, why do you need to put in a code for the free shipping over $75? Like another reviewer mentioned, I feel like they're kind of hoping you won't notice this, forget, check out, and have added an extra couple of $$$ onto your order and be totally unaware until you look at your bank statement.
Another thing about their pricing...they charge 5-10% more for some scents and products. I don't really understand why they do this, and I highly recommend you do a little shopping around to see if you can get a better price on what you want. If they weren't a local business, I probably would only use them as a reference, but I do find myself shopping with them less and less as the years go by.

I just repurchase Frapin L humaniste…rs

I just repurchased you to Frapin L humaniste and sprayed once could not detect scent. This first buying lucky scent so either I hit bad bottle or scent been reformulated. I give website 3 for free samples but return policy isn’t best compare to Fragrancenet.

Hurry up and wait! And wait and wait

It will take forever to receive your order. I live in the same city they ship from and it takes almost two weeks if I’m lucky. See what I did there☺️ I’m sorry but that’s an awfully long wait! Time to explore somewhere else!

Luckyscent has gone down the toilet…

Luckyscent has gone down the toilet while using the pandemic as a crutch for it’s own problems. Yes shipping times take longer now but that’s no excuse for atrocious process times that were never a problem before the pandemic. They also want to try and convince you to give up one of the only perks they offer by not selecting free samples that come with your purchase stating if you skip them they’ll process your order faster. Give me a break. I was once a fan of luckyscent but nowadays I will try to avoid buying from them. Also, they make you type in a code for free shipping rather than make it automatic as if they’re hoping people won’t see the print telling you so they can make more money. This company is run by jerks.

Good for niche

Ordered from countless times, all perfectly completed. Shipping times are dependent on the shipping you, the consumer, choose. Have never experienced a problem.

Broken website, slow shipping

While their products are authentic and lovely, it is VERY difficult to make purchases. They have major server issues. You have to refresh the page a million times and sign in over and over hoping that your order goes through. It takes me upwards of 20 minutes to get their broken website to work. Ridiculous.
They also process orders very slowly, and shipping sometimes takes weeks. One time I straight up forgot I ordered something because so much time passed before I received it. Luckyscent needs to get their sh-t together.

Fake perfume

Horrible fake perfume sold here. I cannot get the disgusting smell from my nose! I order a few scents that I know how they smell and each one of them had this fake, cheap scent.

Ignore the bad reviews they are probably mostly fake!

Luckyscent is one of the most respected niche retailers out there. I have purchased from them many times and have received literally hundreds of samples from them over the years. I find many of these reviews suspect. I have not received ONE "rancid" sample from Luckyscent EVER and someone claiming they received 30 rancid samples is just not being truthful. That's ridiculous. And they DO NOT sell fakes! Luckyscent is like the Neiman Marcus of niche perfume. It's like claiming NM sells fakes it just sounds silly. I feel like some of these reviews must be from a competitor trying to scare people away from their competition, I can't figure out any other reason for such outlandish comments. And no, I do not work for Luckyscent, I'm a long time customer. I started buying from them around 15 years ago.

As far as the samples, yes, they are dab ons, not sprays, and they are small (. 7 ml each) but this is clearly stated on the website along with photos. It's not their fault if someone doesn't read the info on their site. Also, their prices are much less than larger spray samples which is what many prefer. Some of their samples are only $4 while others charge $15 and that adds up. Luckyscent samples are for those who truly want to sample and not buy "decants".

I have had nothing but positive experiences and Franco has always been exceptional. Some people just can't be pleased.

Fragrance samples were diluted

Fragrance samples were diluted. One of the samples I ordered had no fragrance at all. It was like water. Lucky scent gave me a credit for that one, saying there had been some problems with some of their samples. The sample vials are tiny: half the size you used to get in a department store. Disappointed. Great idea but expensive for a diluted version of the real thing.
